Review of Fair Game (2010) by Bob S — 19 Feb 2012
Penn and Watts star in this modern-day conspiracy film based on the memoirs of their characters, Senator Wilson and CIA Agent Valerie Plame. The film is segmented into two parts: CIA operations to confirm the existence of WMDs in Iraq and the constitutional debate over revealing the identities of undercover agents.
Wilson and Plame are married and an intense look inside their complex relationship is woven within the story. Like most political films, you must endure some parts that drag and some parts that excessively preach left-wing politics.
However, the film is well produced and provides some very plausible windows inside the G.W. Bushâ??s administration and their intentions toward the war in Iraq and global policy, in general.
