Review of F for Fake (1973) by Davey M — 27 Mar 2008
Welles was a genius. And not just a genius in the way the word often gets thrown around. A real genius-genius. This feels to me like his most Welles-ian post-Citizen Kane film--and, as his last feature, it's every bit as great as his first.
Dizzying and delightful and magical (and fraudulent).
