Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Devin R — 24 Feb 2011
I remember watching this movie on an old videotape years ago and I thought it was way too slow and boring. Since then, I bought it on dvd and now I love it. It is a very quiet movie which make the surgical scenes very clinical.
Georges Franju did work as a documentary filmmaker as well. I saw an interview with John Carpenter where he said that this is where he got the idea for what Michael Myers' would look like in Halloween.
