Ornate as ever, Kubrick's cinematic skills are on full display. The camera work and visuals are as compulsive as they are mesmerizing, and Cruise/Kidman performs admirably. Yet, despite all these Kubrick staples, this last film feels unfinished and wholly dissonant.
