Review of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) by Robyn M — 10 Oct 2012
Go see the film for yourself, ignore what you have heard, whether it be positive or negative, and as the lights dim, try to open your eyes and mind as much as is humanly possible, and see what the film does to you, and what it makes you think about.
I think that is all Kubrick wanted to achieve, to give us a moment or pause and think, even if he has to shock you into doing it. Oh! And have fun finding the Christmas tree in every scene.
