Review of eXistenZ (1999) by Rafael B — 12 Aug 2008

I rediscovered this film again the other day...and obviously in the light of things like Matrix etc, it pales in comparison now...although it is a different plot fundamentally.

I really enjoy the film and the actors in it...it could have been done a lot better sure, but it still works and the ideas are as fresh now as they were then...plus it has some twists here and there - both in plot and props (you'll understand if you see it) - that I think are still a bit special....definitely give this one a go...it's one of those one's where it doesn't seem so special at the time, but you find yourself thinking about it days later!
