Classic tongue in cheek teen emo movie. Whilst excellent cameos by Malcolm McDowell, Marlee Matlin and John Waters add spice to an already pretty wry take on the suburban family, Anna Lynne McCord's brooding prescence holds the film together.
Her acned washed out reality contrasting with the beautifully styelised self which inhabits her dream life. The imagery of the dream sequences is remarkable and deeply resonant.
