The 2013 remake of Sam Rami's horror classic 'The Evil Dead' is absolutely fantastic. The use of practical effects, great directing, and incredibly disturbing sound design sets itself apart from the campiness of the original.
I found the dark tone to be perfect for a film like this. I felt dirty watching it. One of the best horror films I have seen in years and also one of the best remakes. 5/5.
