Review of Evil Dead (2013) by Scott N — 27 Nov 2013

This is a case were the parts are greater then the sum. As a fan of the original trilogy I was surprised by how fresh the one felt at times. The problem with this film though is that the longer it went on the more routine and dull it became, and by the end It came close to losing my interest.

With that said, there are still moments here that make this remake worthwhile,and is sadly one of the better horror remakes of the last several years. I just hope they don't try a sequel because it would simply not work or live up to the legendary status of the original Evil Dead 2.
