Review of Everything or Nothing (2012) by Lee W — 23 Mar 2013
Despite its basic, talking head format, Everything or Nothing is a brisk, enlightening history of filmic Bond. Much of the focus is on the tale of series producers "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Salzburg, but - with the exception of Sean Connery - all the Bond actors appear, with one-timer George Lazenby particularly candid about his doomed attempts to live like 007 for real.
Elsewhere, there are nice contributions from both the Broccoli and Salzburg families, appearances from fans as varied as Mike Myers and Bill Clinton, and despite his absence, the spectre - or S.P.E.C.
T.R.E. - of Connery looms large in the form of his various fallouts with Eon Productions.
