Such a horrible near miss. The setting, characters and core plot device are all perfect for space horror. Tension is expertly built and everything is well on track until he movie starts to explore the crux of the plot and there it falls apart.
Effects get shonky and the scenes you want to see, suggested by the story, never come to fruition. There were amazing possibilities for the ending of this movie that simply never get explored and instead it dribbles to an weak stop.
Even worse the movie feels like the low budget sequel to the story of the original crews, much more exciting, adventure.
