Review of Escape from Tomorrow (2013) by St John P — 03 Jun 2014
What starts off as an extremely stylish and original suspense-thriller eventually just loses its steam and falls into convolution. The cinematography and Disney World setting stay interesting throughout, but they can't completely save the mediocre acting and the sense that the writer/director ran out of ideas before finishing the screenplay.
It ends up feeling like a stretched-out, R-rated episode of The Twilight Zone, but one of the stranger episodes with an ambiguous ending.
