Review of Escape from New York (1981) by Boris M — 31 Aug 2013
The story is set in 1996, 25 years after the movie was made. Manhattan has been made into a prison for the entire USA and Snake Plissken is sentenced - just like everybody else - to a life sentence. Once you go inside Manhattan you never come out.
But Snake made a deal. He gets the president out and he is pardoned for all his (many) crimes agains the USA.
