Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Frédéric H — 17 Jan 2012
There are a lot of bad things in this movie, the CG and the idea of surfing on a tidal wave. That being said Kurt Russell is still badass as Snake Plissken and there is some damn enjoyable action in this flick.
The cheesy camp factor is waaay up in this film (playing basketball to save your life anyone?) which makes it a fun enjoyable flick. The first film is vastly superior and much of that was due to the budget of the first film and how they had to be more creative.
That being said Escape from L.A. is still a damn good time.
