Review of Erik the Viking (1989) by David O — 18 May 2008
You really can't appreciate how much this isn't a spoof until you watch it in tandem with The Vikings with Kirk Douglas.
Also, what should have been the funniest part (the end, with the Norse Gods, which I won't spoil for you) ended up being rather disappointing, and the funniest part (the sinking island) was just reminiscent enough of Python to leave me wishing I was watching an actual Python movie.
