Review of Erik the Viking (1989) by Robert H — 15 Oct 2010
Woefully not very Monty Python and from what I recalled- well deserved of the week it may have lasted in theaters in 1989. Mickey Rooney was so old in this film I thought he looked like post boxing Mickey Rourke.
Tim Robbins acting is almost as wooden as the ship he rides in. He's not funny (- in fact the whole film isn't,) and you just get this overall feeling that they had such a small budget that they couldn't make this an animated film.
To summarize- this film is boring, childish and just not suited for any audience above 7- or below for that matter.
