It seems that Erik, razing and pillaging, has gained his fair share of haters; sure, the retro editing feels woody like a hull, but the movie retains also some surrealism from the times of Monty Python, and enough swashbuckling from The Vikings, Jason and the Argonauts and Capt.
Blood to survive high seas.
