Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Ross M — 05 Sep 2010
It took me a while to finally see Eraserhead (having seen most of Lynch's other films) and so it feels to me very much like a film school short dragged out a bit too long. Lynch's work since then really does surpass it. But it is definitely groundbreaking and a very strange ride and if you were to see this as your first Lynch film it'd be pretty mindblowing.
Nance is great in one of the best male leads in a Lynch film (he does seem to create better female characters).
