Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Graeme H — 08 Jul 2011
What it cumulates to is a nonsensical tapestry that one can sympathize with, for the most part, due to its immense quality. The medium shots are shockingly new, the pacing is to a foriegn rhythm and the nosie quality and effects have no apt parallels.
Its underlying white noise and "mutant" mentality can be felt in 1979's Alien, but, otherwise, what a standout.
