Review of Equilibrium (2002) by Ian B — 19 Nov 2011

Call this one of the best movies you've never seen. An absolutely brilliant sci-fi/action film I'd barely ever heard of. The plot isn't the most original thing in the world, but it all unfolds perfectly and there are plenty of surprises.

Christian Bale gives another fantastic performance (perhaps one of his best) and the rest of the cast is pitch perfect. Definitely some of the better fights and gun battles I've seen in a modern action movie as well.

This is a rare, character driven and emotional futuristic action movie that held my attention from beginning to end.
