Review of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) by Ian G — 08 Jun 2011
Yikes! Definitely one of those Wall St documentaries that goes out to Houston to show how the smartest people in the room can be sometimes the most unscrupulous ;-( Just the fact a lot of their profit margins come straight out of acquiring various investments on bubbles that are about to rise and literally creating profits out of lots of hot air-nothing and the amount of damage they are able to commit whether intentional or not and the invariable exit with all of the golden parachutes showing how all the men involved either taking responasbility tragically or totally skimming it.
Shocking although not surprising and worth the watch.
