Review of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) by Augustina S — 27 Aug 2015
"This is not a story about numbers; it is a story about people.".
Utterly entrancing. It achieves an almost eerie atmosphere that leaves one feeling ill at ease throughout (and perhaps rightfully so). To those with little or no prior knowledge about Enron I can safely attest, it's very watchable and entertaining. It serves as an important and still highly relevant tale of wealth, power, corruption and greed. Definitely one of my favourites, and in my opinion it beats out 'Wolf of Wall Street' in both tact and message.
