My problems with this film have nothing to with the direction (decent), cinematography (lovely), cast (pretty good with Rhys Ifans being particularly chilling). No, my problem with this film is the same problem I had with the book - whiney, annoying, unrealistic characters that I don't like and don't have much sympathy with.
If you loved the book you'll probably like this adaptation. I didn't like the book. Nuff said.
