Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Nathan G — 10 Feb 2009
This was OK. The underwater/ice shots are great. Some of the info is very interesting. But overall? It is a bit of a let down. Herzog's method with people is very odd. His interviews are normally pretty good, but it's the moment after.
Herzog holds a shot on his subject for a long time creating an extremely awkward pause. The people seem to not know what he wants from them. I understand why he does it, but it's really annoying to watch.
