Wasted potential. If the half of the film wasn't focused the romance retrospective, but more on the investigation, cultural differences and witness interrogation, it would have been great. Now it is a sopey story with unnecessary back-voiced narrative.

Decent acting, good costumes, appropriate music (even if it lacks the Japanese flavour to it) and often stunning and shocking pictures.
