Review of Electroma (2006) by Bill F — 14 Sep 2007
Amidst the silence and brief interruptions of mumbled ambient soundings, Christo and Bangalter have fashioned a visually stunning piece of cinema that harkens back to a forgotten and underappreciated era of film.
Though "Electroma" is devoid of the poppy techno samples that defined the parisian duos' previous release, "Interstella 555," the monochromatic elements mesmerize, more than atoning for the absensce of sound.
