Review of El Topo (1970) by Serdar C — 21 Apr 2008
I've read a lot about this cult movie untill I saw it in the festival this year. It was great to watch this surreal masterpiece on the big screen. It's Jodorowsky's take on religion and violance disguised as a western.
Despite all the references, Jodorowsky maintains a story line which makes the movie easier to watch. But this doesn't mean it won't be one of the weirdest movies you'll ever see. I have to look for the other movies of the director.
