Review of El Dorado (1966) by Carl S — 27 Jun 2009
This may not be one of Hawks greatest movies, but it is certainly entertaining, if not a little whacky. When the good guys, both John Wayne and Robert Mitchum, are hobbling around on crutches, and they still win, you know there are some serious hijinks going on.
I cannot remember laughing this hard during a western, though it seems to me Rio Bravo might have had the same effect.
