So we all know Hector Lavoe's music is legendary. The movie portrays his genius with his drug problem perfectly. As much as people want to be angry about the predominant theme of his drug use in this movie, it's a fact, he was a junkie. That is what made him a genius. Let's take a look here at music legends that were junkies: Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Kurt Cobain, Jimmi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison...and so on.

So my review is definitely 5 stars. The music, the acting, everything is great. I highly suggest this movie.
