Review of El Cantante (2006) by Linda M — 09 Mar 2008
First of all, I think that the cinematography and production are phenomenal. The movie is put together in a really interesting way. This film is quite depressing, witnessing the struggles of a talented man, but his story is truly memorable.
I definitely learned much about the integration of Latin music into American culture--before viewing this film, I had no idea who Hector Lavoe even was.
