Review of El Cantante (2006) by Laira R — 16 Oct 2008
It's always good to watch your culture onscreen even when it's not truly authentic. I've heard many people complaining about how this movie only showed the bad side of Hector and how it was all centered around Puchi, but you have to remember that even though it's based on a real story it's still a movie.
It has to entertain rather than just show you someone's life and life can be pretty boring at times. So maybe they did focus on the negative parts of his life but they only wanted to entertain whether they achieved it or not.
