The verite style of this movie perfectly complements the authentic material and performances. Everything about EKAJ is so genuine that you can't help but sympathize with the characters. Without being preachy, the film is a deep and sometimes harrowing look at life on the streets with a powerful message at its core.
Told with great specificity, EKAJ is able to be a universal story about the search for community that we've all experienced, about wanting to find your place in the world and feel like you belong.
I highly recommend this intimate, well-drawn story.
