Review of Ekaj (2015) by Anthony M — 03 Apr 2018
A new and refreshing indie film with a different visual perspective and real to life story telling approach. It defies conventional and embraces the raw truth. I enjoy watching these kind of Films that take chances.
It reminds me of the organic times of the 70's, 80's the way it was shot. The script is not the best and the dialogue falls short but the way the story flows is unique and the magic is definitely there.
The two main actors were natural and really didn't find them "acting" at all. It felt as if I was just going along on the journey with them, as if I were a third wheel in a sense. Some scenes affected me and left me thinking after it was all said and done.
I would love to see more from this Filmmaker. Great potential here. I'm a fan.
