Eighth Grade is a stunning movie. That being said, it may not be for everyone- I see a trend of the younger/more in touch with modern digital culture the viewer is, the more of it they will understand.
There is a great attention to detail in the way that the middle and high schoolers of today behave. This story had me laughing, crying, and by the end of it I was enamored with the performances of the actors (most notably Elsie Fisher and Josh Hamilton).
The soundtrack was also notable as a breath of fresh air from similar films. I loved this movie.
