Review of Edvard Munch (1974) by Jennifer C — 05 Jun 2007
I've never seen a film done in this way of a narrated documentary of events in the past as if it's the present in such a convincing, true to life way. I thought it was an interesting and impactful look into life in the Romantic Era, as well as the individual struggles of Edvard Munch.
I especially liked the mixing and overlapping of time in the scenes, both through the visuals, and the sound. It was a little bit too long and repetitive towards the end, and the conclusion was not complete in my opinion.
I still think it's definitly a film well worth the time.
