Review of Edvard Munch (1974) by Gringotex J — 16 Jan 2009
Amazing amazing film: part documentary, part fevered pitch dream. I was at first flabbergasted and refused to believe that the actors were non-professionals because they were so good. Then I realized they were barely reciting any lines on screen.
I don't think the term "docudrama" applies because of this. You have to have line readings in drama, don't you? Up there with Young Mr. Lincoln as my favorite biopic.
