This film has some real insight into modern society, especially when Rita says "There's like this sort of disease, but no one mentions it; everyone behaves as though it's normal, y'know inevitable that there's vandalism and violence .
..." and that people are advised to go out and get more money, so the disease is always covered up. She can see the problems, and wants answers.
