I can't stress how much I enjoyed this movie about a simple young woman (Julie Walters) who wants to better her life through education. She seeks out a tutor (Michael Caine) only to discover he's a depressed alcoholic.
This really isn't a downer of a film, its incredibly funny, intelligent and uplighting. Both lead performances were inspiring. Michael Caine is always a class act and Julie Walters shines as protagonist.
I really enjoyed her. I'm so happy to have finally seen it. Thanks 'Netflix'. A new favourite.
