It's often regarded less highly than Jim Carrey's Truman Show. But it caters to a different audience. With both movies packing the same heart (a stab at the commercialism of voyeurism and the sanctity of the private realm).
..this comes across as being more accessible. It might be less compelling for the high brow set...but nothing gets a powerful message across as effectively as a good long laugh at ourselves.
