Review of Edmond (2006) by Kyo 9 — 08 Apr 2009
Reminiscent of (the superior) 'Falling Down', this film examines the events of one night in the life of a man. William H. Macy as Edmond, spontaneously visits a fortuneteller, who sets him on a journey of self-exploration.
Unfortunately, for Edmond, his 'self' is a dark and dangerous terrain... The story leaves something to be desired, as some of the twists feel a little contrived. And Edmond does not elicit a lot of sympathetic feelings from the viewer, as he is frighteningly disturbed.
