Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Steviegjd — 02 Mar 2016
While it would be unduly critical to call this film "bad", it is most certainly not great. It is mostly what one would expect from the genre: a feel good, triumph over adversity story with a good heart.
But it also suffers from some of the limitations of the genre: corny, predictable and manipulative. Still, it is unoffensive, sweet and mostly based on a true story. You could take kids to it or your mother.
Just don't have expectations that are too high.
