Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Michael T — 26 Jan 2009
One of the seminal "Now" movies from back in the period between 1969-72 wich appealed to the youth culture, had a hip "Now" soundtrack, and doomed counter-culture heroes. Of course "Now" is then.
I am surprised at how lame the acting from Hopper and Fonda is; Hopper would later become a very good character actor and Fonda has put in several very good performances in movies in the last decade. This film made Nicholson's career, his drunk small-town lawyer character who joins Hopper and Fonda is a breath of fresh air.
The bikes are cool.
