Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Adam R — 04 Sep 2018
AFI 100 Greatest Films - #88: Not much to the plot of this ultimately underwhelming film which is better described as a celebration of the counterculture movement rather than an interesting or cohesive story.
The best scenes for me were the wide panoramic shots of the passing country as Fonda and Hopper traveled with an excellent soundtrack playing in the background. This film is more important as a capsule of society's attitudes at a period in history than as an engrossing or gripping story.
