Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Kim B — 07 Jan 2019
Movie was kinda a cluster f*ck for symbolism of the 1960s hippies vs mainstream and deep south prejudices against them. I think it was symbolic of how the hippies had all the right ideas-freedom, love, community.
...etc but in the end they blew it as the main character says with drugs and recklessness. The one scene with I think LSD was really scary-why would u do that in a graveyard? That was like a schizo nightmare.
The rest of film was ok-kinda idled on with some very violent and dark scenes at the end, good soundtrack and interesting directorial style.
