Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Orrin T — 28 Jul 2017
IVery disappointed. If you didn't already know the history of what happened and why, at Dunkirk, you still don't know. The word Nazi was never used and maybe German(s) once, twice at the most. Basically not much dialogue.
I didn't care about any of the characters or if they were killed. In fact maybe that would have ended the movie sooner. I never want to hear a violin again. In place of dialogue there was a continuous screeching (only way I can explain it) of violin noise and other loud sounds in the background.
Since there is not much dialogue they filled the the dead air time with the violins, etc.. It was well into the movie before I was aware of it. I am probably the only one that noticed it. Maybe it's my age.
Save your money. At home you can turn it off if you want to.
