Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Freddie S — 24 Jul 2017
Leave it to Christopher Nolan to take a World War II evacuation and mix it with his time-line-Memento-flair and the end result is a masterful war film. Having seen many war films over the years, Dunkirk is the first to skip the generic war formula where hero saves the day and the good guys win.
Instead it simply begs the question, how do you survive a gruesome war.
