“Dumplin'” is one of those movies where the main character spends most of the time doing everything imaginable to be unlikable, which means that for most of the time, this movie is unlikable. The movie is very competently made, well acted and will edited, but there just isn't anything about it that appealed to me.
I am certain there are people who will really connect with the message of this movie, but I need more than a message to recommend sitting with this thing for 2 hours. I give it a D, just don’t bother.
