Review of Duma (2005) by Steve H — 24 Dec 2006
A soulfull adventure family film that is visually sweeping and intimately personal. In the tradition of 'A Far Off Place' and 'Fly Away home,' this movie properly defines the word 'family.
' There were many times that the deliberate pacing could have alienated a less-than introspective viewer, but there is so much here to love. Michaeletos and Walker deliver powerful performances. The dialogue and screenplay are the weak spot here, but even that is forgiven in the end.
