Review of Duck Soup (1933) by Jason J — 03 Jun 2010
This is the 1st Marx Brothers comedy I've watched and it was fantastic. Plenty of hilarity on offer and one of the best slapstick comedies ever. The comic timing of the brothers is nothing less than genius and the mirror scene is superb.
The brothers are all very funny but it is Groucho with his witty put-downs and insults that steals the show with Harpo who goes around with a pair of scissors cutting things a close second. Don't let the fact that this is a very old movie put you off, this is comedy at it's finest.
Highly recommended.
