Review of Drunken Angel (1948) by David H — 15 Mar 2010
A bounding and bewichting Film Noir / Gangster Movie settled in the Post-War Japan a Eastern Hommage to the Western Gangster Movie grandious directed and acted with a bombastic Soundtrack it also shows how much westernized the Post Fascistic Japan was and that just from the Radio it also shows how dangerous a Gangster's Life is when youre strong you on the Top and can enjoy a luxorious Life but one Moment orf Weakness and you finished and you been threaden like a Old Dog another Great Performance of Toshiro Mifune like many Kurosawa Films it shows the Eastern Variant of a Western Theme the Movie sounded even more western in the German Synchronisation where Toshiro Mifune is superb synchronizied by Klaus Kinski.
